A royal style bedroom fit for a queen

This June 2022, Cush Cush are celebrating the jubilee in true British royal style and to commemorate the occasion we thought that we would share our ideas on designing a bedroom which is fit for royalty.

Achieving royal style takes some time and consideration, but get it right and you will create a bedroom interior which is bold and a space that you will want to spend as much time as possible in.

Creating a royal style bedroom

  1. Be bold with colour – Whether you choose bright, muted or heritage colours, paint all the walls and add contrasting coloured furniture. To finish the look, add gold accents to highlight features. These can be used on a light pendant, switches or door handles.
  2. Add style and opulence – The royal style is all about grandeur. Swag curtains with accentuated tie backs, dramatic lamps and oversize vase designs will emphasize the lavish look which you are aiming to achieve.
  3. A headboard and bed are the main features – They need to take centre stage! It doesn’t say royal style unless the headboard and the bed are extra-large, with plenty of space to walk around. Design a headboard as a statement piece which is a ‘work of art’ and add a bed which immediately magnifies luxury.
