Is it time to revive your master bedroom?

So, with the kids and the grand kids all off back to school, this month we are taking some time out to focus on ourselves and our own indulgences – After all why not, we deserve it! If your master bedroom is looking tired and in urgent need of a revamp, to bring your special place back to life and create a sanctuary for some ‘me time’, then Cush Cush are here to provide interior inspiration.

Creating a master bedroom sanctuary

Clear out the old – The best place to start, is by having a good clear out, of any old shoes, clothing and cosmetics which are taking up extra space. By de-cluttering draws and wardrobes, you will clearly be able to review the room and consider introducing new pieces of furniture that work well in your master bedroom.

Choosing a colour scheme – Colour schemes can begin from a variety of examples, such as a design on wallpaper, curtains or a roman blind, feature cushions, or a king size quilted bedspread. By picking out a couple of the colours in the print and then colour matching with paintwork, you can effortlessly tie in the style and create a flow throughout the room decor. Be bold with bright colours, tranquil with calm or mix it up with a bit of both. Remember that there are many different looks and trends to draw on and that it really depends on individual style and taste as to what you go for. Also, consider the rest of the interior design within the property and try to keep a flow throughout.

Make the bed a statement feature – No master bedroom is complete without a master bed! Go for something that is comfortable but that fits well within the room by leaving space to walk around. The master bed is no doubt the centre piece so embellish it accordingly. Choose a statement headboard, a custom-made quilt made in your favourite fabric by Cush Cush and complete the look with some feature cushions in contrasting or complimentary colours.
